On Sunday the 18th of May 2008 Lazy Peon Tavern held the race of all races, The gnomish race of DEATH.
The basics of the race was to get from Anvilmar in Coldridge Valley to Auberdine in Darkshore as quickly as possible with a level 1 gnome.

Fulsomfaen - Ingek
Ruanwhimpy - Crawk/Crawz/Phop/Superted
Bartyslover - Gagball
As they lined upon the starting line the instructions were the following:
Be greeted fellow gnomes!
You might wonder why we are gathered here and I shall get right to the point. We have been very patient in recent time and warmly greeted our new allies, the dranei to Azeroth. However there comes a time when enough is enough. Too many reports have arrived about gnomish children being stampeeded almost to death by groups of these tall airheads. They seem to not pay attention to anything below tailheight and our patience is starting to run thin. Our biggest brains have pondered a peaceful solution, and you are here today to make it happen. We will help them do what their tiny cerebrals cant muster and repair their space craft! This endeavour might however take months to accomplish and only the toughest engineers will manage the task. We have therefore established a race that will separate the journeymen from the masters, a race that only the toughest of gnomes can win, the race of DEATH!
The race is to the end of the pier in Auberdine, where the boat will take you to Exodar. All gnomes that get there will be awarded. The first three greater than the others. To get there you will need to travel the sea to Kalimdor by boat. However through intelligence we have learned that the boat between Menethil Harbour and Auberdine is maintained by dranei engineers and should therefore be avoided at all costs. That means the two boats available to you is to Theramore or to Ratchet. The routes will be longer and sometimes lethal, but still safer than travelling on any dranei repaired vessels.
Lets help these octopus aliens go home. Let’s fix their ship. Let’s race!
AND THE RACE BEGAN!
The gnomes soon splitted up and 9 gnomes ran towards Loch Modan while 2 gnomes (Lies and Bartyslover) went towards the Deeprun Tram.
On the way into Loch Modan Förgöraren was in the lead, with Lollerskatez and Slutspurt close behind:
In Wetlands the boat left just as the first gnome reached the pier. Because of this the wetlands racegroup were all gathered and all went on the same boat to Theramore:
After the racers that went by Wetlands got to Theramore the troubles began:
As you can see on my map, there was lots of ghostrunning in Dustwallow Marsh and lots of gnomes going in different directions:
Finally gnomes entered Barrens! Fulsomfaen was the first one to leave Dustwallow Marsh and one by one the others soon followed:
Lies closely followed by Imbabob on their way towards Ashenvale.
And Ashenvale reaped a few deaths too.. (Bartyslover, Slutspurt and Ruanwhimpy):
Winner of the race was Förgöraren!!
Second place went tp Fulsomfaen, and third to Rågjengeren.
It was close between 3rd and 4th place!
Finally all was gathered at the finishline at the end of the pier:
